Kaitlyn Dove is an associate counselor with over a decade of experience helping teens, adults, and families navigate emotional and behavioral challenges with clarity, compassion, and resilience. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from George Fox University and brings a wealth of experience from her work in four metro-area school districts: Sherwood, West Linn-Wilsonville, Portland Public, and Tigard-Tualatin.

With a strong foundation in child development and family systems, Kaitlyn supports younger children and their caregivers using collaborative, strengths-based strategies. She reframes challenging behaviors as opportunities for growth, helping families build emotional regulation skills and healthier patterns of connection. Her experience includes working with children ages 3 to 14 facing anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, reactive attachment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and family transitions.

Kaitlyn is equally passionate about supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate complex life stages, identity development, relationship dynamics, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and life changes. Her approach is grounded in the belief that all behavior carries meaning—and that understanding the “why” behind our responses creates space for meaningful growth and healing.

Whether she’s working with a teen navigating academic pressure and identity exploration, or an adult managing parenting overwhelm or unresolved trauma, Kaitlyn meets each client with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience. She integrates trauma-informed care, neurobiological insight, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based practices to provide individualized support tailored to each person’s needs and goals.

While her roots in school counseling continue to inform her work with children and families, Kaitlyn’s clinical lens has expanded to serve the evolving needs of teens and adults seeking greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and authentic connection. Her goal is to offer a safe, inclusive space where clients feel empowered to show up fully and move toward lasting, meaningful change.
